'God complex' breast surgeon guilty

Ian Paterson, 59, carried out "extensive, life-changing operations for no medically-justifiable reason". His motives were "obscure" but may have included a desire to "earn extra money", Nottingham Crown Court heard. Paterson was found guilty of 17 counts of wounding with intent, relating to nine women and one man. Jurors also convicted him of three further wounding charges.
