But the product is still a shadow of what the man in charge - Dave Limp - and indeed their owners, hope it will become. "We have thousands of engineers inside Amazon adding to [its] capability every day and then another tens of thousands of developers adding to the skills," he tells the BBC. "The thing I am sure of is that this time next year she will be significantly more intelligent than she is now, and that sometime in the future we will hit our goal of reinventing the Star Trek computer." Future Energy: The computer brains making power plants more efficient

But these machines - power stations - are often pretty dumb, according to Peter Kirk, former chief executive of software company NeuCo. "Power plants," he says, "are just robots that don't have a brain yet." That is where his firm, acquired by GE Power last year, comes in. For years, NeuCo had been developing optimisation technologies - a form of artificial intelligence or AI - that can make power plants more efficient. The idea is to get a computer to monitor the hundreds of fine-grained controls that may be altered in, for example, a coal-fired power plant, and learn how to adjust them in a more effective way.

President Trump's second foreign trip

President Trumps second foreign tripkicks off today in Warsaw the first leg of a trip that includes theG-20 Summitin Hamburg and a stop in Paris forBastille Day.

Dr Hiroki Ueda, one of the researchers, said: "The images reveal cancerous colonies in enough detail to calculate their shapes, volumes, and distributions - characteristics critical to distinguishing between patterns of metastasis.

Further experiments showed how cancer can get better at spreading. Dr Kohei Miyazono said: "Most of the cancer cells appear to die during circulation in the bloodstream and fail to metastasise." But cancers then start producing chemical signals to help them grow. The researchers tested the effect of one of them, called TGF-beta, and showed it dramatically improved the chances of cancers colonising the lung tissue. "[They] are far more likely to survive the journey and form malignant outposts," Dr Miyazono added. It is thought the technology could be adapted to other disciplines, including how the body's cells behave in people with autoimmune diseases.

In April, we saw Raveena Tandon in hard-hitting rape-revenge tale Maatr (mother in Hindi). Sadly, the film didn't do well at the box office.
