Firefox's big-bang update brings you speed and a new look

Apple is replacing affected units for free, according to customers who have contacted Apple about their crackling issues. The company also appears to be asking users if they could collect diagnostic information as a way for its engineers to investigate said issues.

It's important to note that crackling problems affect only a small percentage of out of the millions of iPhone X units currently being manufactured and sold. It's too early to tell whether this is a more widespread problem instead of an isolated case. Let's see how it plays out.

Bill Gates sets sights on cure for Alzheimer's with $50m investment

Microsoft founder and philanthropist Bill Gates has set his sights on eradicating Alzheimer's announcing today a $50m (£38.2m) investment in research to develop new treatments. Mr Gates said he was “joining the fight” at a click here to go turning point in the study of the disease, adding that a breakthrough was needed so people can enjoy the longer lives we are living. The research will be led by the Dementia Discovery Fund (DDF), a collaboration launched between the UK's Department of Health, world-leading pharmaceutical companies, and Alzheimer's Research UK.

iPhone X 'notch remover' now available in App Store

The app doesn't remove the notch per se, it just makes the notch invisible by placing a black bar across the tops of images that you must then assign to your Wallpapers in the iOS settings. Nevertheless, the end result looks like a traditional unibrow status bar, instead of the two brows currently found at the top of the iPhone X's home and lock screens.

Samsung Galaxy A5 2018 will most likely ship with Galaxy S8-like Infinity screen

According to the leaked listing, at least one of the two Galaxy A 2018 phones, will have an unusual 18.5:9 aspect ratio. This phone is said to be the Galaxy A5 (2018) but since Samsung is known to maintain uniformity, as far as design is concerned, in both its A5 and A7 phones, we can expect the feature to be part of the Galaxy A7 (2018) as well. The unusual 18.5:9 aspect ratio is a major headline of the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ (and Galaxy Note 8) which is harbinger of a taller (and narrower) screen in a smaller footprint design.
